At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1.      Identify the internal parts of system unit and their functions;
2.      Construct their own explanation and understanding about the internal parts of system unit;
3.      Appreciate the functions of each internal pats of system unit.

2.      Motivation

-          The teacher will divide the class into 5 groups. Each group will be given 4 pictures that are related or interpret internal parts of system unit. Then, the members of the group will guess if what parts of the system unit does the picture interpret or what part of system unit does the pictures related. After guessing the correct answer, one representative of each group will explain in front their insights about that specific parts of system unit.

1.      From the activity, let the students enumerate the parts of system unit.

2.      Nest, the teacher will enumerate completely the internal parts of system unit

1.      Conduct an oral recitation on what they have learned in the class. Asked them to give one internal part of system unit and let them explain it based on their own understanding.
2.      Conduct a 10 items quiz.

·         Each group will provide their own pull-push rule and ruler for their activity.

·         Need to familiarize the different measuring tools and their uses, and the different ways of taking dimension.
Activities

1.      Teacher will give each group a piece of paper containing their activity regarding the taking of dimension and converting measurement system. (The students need to understand how to take dimension and how to convert different measurement system)
2.      They need to measure the things written in their task handouts and then, convert it.

Ang Alamat ng punong Balete
Isinulat ni: Shirlene D. Mandapat

Noon unang panahon sa isang malayong kaharian, may isang prinsesang nagngangalang Bal. Ang nag-iisang anak nila haring Abel at reyna Alice. Si prinsesa Bal ay hinahangaan ng maraming tao dahil sa kanyang angking kagandahan, may balingkinitang katawan, malaporselanang kutis, malambot at mahabang buhok na talagang kinaiinggitan ng mga kababaihan sa kanilang nayon. Sa kabila nang kanyang kagandahang pisikal, siya rin ay may ubod ng samang ugali. Palibhasa’y sunod sa layaw kung kaya’t lumaki siyang suwail sa magulang, mapang-api sa kapwa at mapanglait. Ngunit, kahit na ganito ang kanyang ugali ay pilit siyang iniintindi ng kanyang magulang at hinahangaan parin ng mga binata sa kanilang nayon.
Laging pinag-iinitan ni Bal si Etang, anak ng isa sa mga tagapagsilbi sa kanilang palasyo. Si Etang ay kabaligtaran ng ugali ni Bal. Kahit na siya’y madalas laitin ng mga tao dahil sa kanyang matabang katawan, maitim at magaspang na balat, mahaba ngunit napakatigas na buhok. Nanatili parin ang kabaitan sa kanyang puso.
Sa tuwing nagkikita ang dalawa’y, lahat na halos ng panlalait na maaaring sabihin ay nasabi niya na ng walang pakundangan. Pero patay malisya na lamang si Etang sa lahat ng panlalait na ginagawa ni Bal sa kanya. Isang araw, nagpang-abot ang dalawa sa hardin ng palasyo.
“Hoy Etang !!! iniiwasan mu ba ako ?” bulyaw ni Bal.
“Hindi po” sagot ni Etang
“Alam mo, malapit na ang kaarawan ko at magkakaroon ng  malaking selebrasyon para sakin” pagmamayabang ni Bal.
“Alam ko” ang sagot ni Etang.
“Buti na naman. Pero, pero, pero, magaganda’t gwapo lang ang gusto kong makasalamuha sa aking kaarawan. Kahit na inimbitahan nila ama’t ina ang lahat ng mga dalaga’t binata dito sa ating nayon.”
“Oh tapos?” tanung ni Etang.
“Kaya nagagalak akong sabihin sa iyong hindi ka maaaring pumunta sa aking kaarawan” pangungutyang sabi ni Bal.
“Alam ko iyon Bal. Huwag po kayong mag-alala hinding hindi ako pupunta.” Panghihinayang na sagot ni Etang. Kahit na gustong gusto ni Etang na pumunta, pinili niya na lang na hindi pumunta para walang gulo.
“At saka pala, wag na wag kang magsusumbong sa ama’t ina ko. Hindi dahil mabait sayo ang hari at reyna ay magpipiling pilingan ka na diyan”. Pahabol sa sabi ni Bal, habang lumalakad palayo habang humahalakhak.
Dumating na ang araw ng kaarawan ni Bal, ang araw na pinakakahihintay ng lahat ng mga dalaga at binata sa kanilang nayon. Naghanda ang lahat para sa pagdiriwang na iyon.  Sa pagdiriwang na iyon ay dumalo ang mangkukulam na si Coring, isang mabait na mangkukulam na naninirahan sa kanilang nayon. Nagpunta ang mabait na mangkukulam upang malaman kung totoo ang nabalitan niyang pagmamalupit ni Bal kay Etang. Hindi inaalis ni Coring ang kanyang mata kay Bal, na masayang nakikipagsayaw sa mga bisitang lalaki. Ngunit, habang nakikipagsayaw si Bal ay nakita niya si Etang na nasa pintuan ng kuwarto kung saan ginaganap ang pagdiriwang. Patingin tingin si Etang sa mga bisitang nakikipagsayaw. Nilapitan ni Bal si Etang at kinaladkad papunta sa hardin. Sinundan naman sila ng mangkukulam na si Coring.
“ Bakit ka nandun? Diba’t sinabi ko na sayong wag na wag kang pupunta sa aking kaarawan!” pasigaw na sabi ni Bal.
“Hindi naman po ako nagpunta mahal na prinsesa” ang sagot ni Etang.
“Anung hindi? Nakita nga kita di ba? Ano ako, bulag?” galit na sabi ni Bal. Itinulak ni Bal si Etang .
“Buwisit ka talaga!” bulyaw ni Bal kay Etang.
“Patawarin mo po ako prinsesa Bal. Hindi ko na uulitin.” Pagmamakaawa ni Etang. Ngunit sinampal ni Bal si Etang. Lumapit si Coring sa kanilang dalawa.
“Sadya nga talagang napakasama ng iyong ugali.” wika ni Coring.
“At sino ka naman para pagsalitaan ako nang ganyan? Eh isa ka lang namang hamak at walang kuwetang mangkukulam.” Pagmamalaking sabi ni Bal.
“Nasaksihan ko ang lahat ng iyong ginawa. Ito ang iyong tatandaan mo, mahal kong prinsesa. Pagsisisihan mo ang lahat ng iyong panlalait at pang-aaping ginawa sa batang ito. Dahil lahat ng iyong sinabi sa kanya ay babalik sa iyo.” Ang sabi ni Coring sa prinsesa. At iniwan nilang dalawa si Bal sa hardin na halos hindi makagalaw.
Nang matapos ang kasiyahan, saka lamang napansin ng hari at reyna na wala ang kanilang anak. Aligagang-aligaga ang mga tagapagsilbi ng sa palasyo sa paghahanap kay Bal. Nang sumapit ang umaga, pinuntahan ni Etang ang lugar kung saan nila iniwan si Bal. At nakita niyang may halamang tumubo rito. Agad agad na pinuntahan ni Etang ang hari at reyna upang sabihing naging halaman si Bal dahil sa sumpa ni Coring. Sobrang nalungkot ang reyna sa pagkawala ni Bal ngunit ang hari ay di nakitaan ng pag-alala at pagkahabag sa pagkawala ng kanyang anak. Dahil alam nitong ito ang nararapat na parusa sa kanyang anak na suwail at mapang-api sa kapwa. Sinabi ng hari kay Etang na alagaan niya ang punong iyon. At pagkalipas ng ilang buwan lumaki ang puno at nagkaroon ng marami at matatabang ugat at may baging na napakalaki’t napakatigas at nakakatakot ang anyo kung kaya’t walang lumapit dito kundi si Etang lamang. Binigyan ni Etang ng pangalan ang punong iyon, na isununod niya sa pangalan nilang dalawa kung kaya’t tinawag niya itong Balete.
